My mother in law is losing her stored usernames and passwords for websites when she closes the edge browser. When she closes out edge, the machine desktop glitches and refreshes. When she opens edge, all the login data for websites is gone. Settings show that they should be stored. The clients needed it for DirectAccess, but we are moving to Always-on-VPN. Upgrade rights is the only other thing I have used with the clients, and with Windows 10 I'm not sure that is even a thing anymore. <br></p><p>I've read several docs, blogs, etc. I don't see a reason to renew SA.<b> Is there something you use with client software assurance that has been useful to you? </b><br></p><p>We'll be deploying new servers with 2019 by the end of the year. I have a client with about 32 PCs. About a month plus ago we pushed 1803 to all PCs and had no major issues except for with one PC. The PC started requesting credentials for the same share over and over and over. Which is a mapped drive they have access too. I looked at the PC to find the network type had been switched to public. I went to change back to domain but found private the only other option that is selectable. I click the configure option below the 2 potions and I see all 3 in a new window Private, Domain, and Public but I can't select any from the window and all each item has is a hyperlink to the AV for more details which just opens the AV. I cannot browse the shares on any server that has it's domain firewall enabled. As soon as I turn the domain firewall off on the server, the machine can browse the shares just fine. We've done a shit ton of testing, imaging, disable, enabling etc etc and have narrowed it down to being office specific. It's not drivers, AV, hardware, etc etc. As all the machines have blue screened and are not the same hardware or do not have the same software installed as well.</p><p>The same machine can be in our 1 office for months and not get a BSOD. Then that person will come to our office here and they will experience a bsod. The dumps show nothing significant. I've found the registry entries under this key: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\NetworkList\DefaultMediaCost</p><p>I can't push out the changes via gpo because I get a permission denied error. Only the "trusted installer" has permission to change these entries. I created a local admin account on the laptop to act as an administrator for installing software so that my user can install if he needs without needing access to the domain for admin credentials there. I know passwords are cached on the local laptop but that leaves gaps after a password has been changed before the laptop is hooked to the domain where the user can't install needed apps. Before I joined the machine to the domain the user would just have to type in a username and password. Now the user has to enter pcname\username and a password.
