Looking to get some feedback from people who switched to Spiceworks Help Desk from another help desk system, namely which product were you using before and why did you switch?

maybe not quite what your looking for but we switched from a note book kept in reception to sw and not looked back since
Thanks for the reply, Peter. What was the cause for the switch? For example was it volume of requests coming in?

i used to just volunteer friday afternoons and come in and work through the issues in the book top down
once i started full time it soon became apparent this system would not be a viable day to day option, i found spiceworks and bookmarked it but it was a few months until i got round to re visiting it, then installed it but another few months went by before implementing it, after this though there has been no looking back and although there are alternatives out there, nothing seems to cover as much as sw does or has the potential growth or usefulness
the overriding factor is though sw just seems to get 'us people' (the IT guys) and don't get me started on the community (there is no place like it), theres not a week goes by that i don't either get something new out of sw or it solves a problem or just keeps things going
another plus is the honesty and transparency sw has if you get it wrong its hands up and you try to fix it or say that your not going that way anymore
